It is ideally located for fishing, cycling and gliding. I learned not to judge a motel from the roadside.. we were shocked how modern and clean this motel room was once we got inside. Having a fishing store in the lobby is a plus for fishermen like myself. The owner could not have been kinder in helping us with our late arrival, and fishing advise. Much appreciated!!! The motel is set in a garden with outdoor seating and BBQ facilities. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The accommodation is highly recommended for take a stop near Fairlie. Nice location and full furnished facilities.

Set within the Burkes Pass gateway to Mackenzie Country, Burkes Pass Country Motels is centrally located for skiing at Mt Dobson and Roundhill and day trips to Mt Cook. Guests enjoy free WiFi and views of the surrounding Rollesby Range and Mt Burgess. We loved the spacious apartment/motel rooms, everything was clean and in good shape, kitchen had everything we needed. Place is probably great to see the stars as well and just a short driving distance from Lake Tekapo. Everyone there was lovely and accommodating and we even got to hand feed the pet lambs and sheep that lived on the property and had a great chat. The dogs and cat were friendly and cuddly as well. For everyone who wants to stay in the Lake Tekapo area and loves animals this is a unique and great value for money stay!
